Wipro digital Acquires Rational Interaction, Enhancing Customer Experience Offering and Boosting Digital Marketing Capabilities Wipro acquires Rational Interaction, a Seattle based full-service digital customer experience (CX) company, for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition scales Wipro Digital’s offering for chief marketing officers (CMOs), combining Rational’s ability to map and orchestrate the customer journey with Wipro’s digital engineering, architecture, and design capabilities.

Infosys

Infosys to Acquire Simplus, a Leading Salesforce Consulting and Platinum Partner

Infosys to acquire Simplus, a Salesforce consulting company for $250 million. Simplus is an advisor in cloud consulting, implementation, data integration, change management, and training services for Salesforce Quote-to-Cash applications. This acquisition strengthens Infosys’ position as an end-to-end Salesforce enterprise cloud solutions and services provider.

TCS

Walgreens Boots Alliance Advances Transformation of its Global Information Technology Operating Model to Accelerate Digitalization, Drive Efficiencies and Savings

TCS wins a $1.5 billion (ten years) deal from Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) to transform its technology operations. TCS will transform WBA’s entire global IT function by launching a new operating model for IT Run and Operational services and accelerate its digitization program.

TCS Launches Jile™ 4.0, Enabling Enterprises to Customize their Agile Transformation Journeys

TCS launches Jile™ 4.0, a major release of its on-the-cloud enterprise Agile DevOps platform that helps software teams to manage, automate, and measure the end-to-end software delivery value stream from ideation to deployment.

TCS Digitally Transforms QIAGEN’s Global Research Platform to Improve User Experience with New Digital Capabilities

TCS helps QIAGEN’s GeneGlobe, a genomics-based research platform for biology and biomedical researchers, to improve customer experience. TCS adopted a cloud-based microservices architecture and revamped the GeneGlobe platform by leveraging DevOps practices and design thinking approaches.

Cognizant EVP Santosh Thomas quits

Santosh Thomas, Cognizant’s executive vice-president and president of global growth markets (GGM) quits the company. Mr. Thomas had joined the company in 1999, and led several businesses such as Continental Europe operations.

Cognizant Names Vinita Bali to Board of Directors; Vice Chairman Francisco D’Souza to Step Down

Francisco D’Souza, Vice Chairman and co-founder of Cognizant, steps down from the board of the company, effective March 31, 2020. D’Souza was elected to Cognizant’s Board of Directors in January 2007 and served as the company’s CEO from January 2007 through March 2019. Cognizant also appoints Vinita Bali, former Managing Director and CEO of Britannia Industries as an independent director effective February 24.

Cognizant Reports Fourth Quarter And Full Year 2019 Results

Cognizant report revenue of $4,284 million, with a growth of 3.8% YoY for the quarter ended December 31, 2019. Healthcare accounted for 28.5% ($1,221) of the total revenue, with a growth of 1.6% YoY driven by growth in life sciences, primarily from demand within Digital Operations, continued momentum within industry-specific platform solutions, and the contribution of Zenith Technologies.

Cognizant Acquires Code Zero, a Leading Consultancy for Cloud-Based Configure-Price-Quote and Billing Solutions

Cognizant acquires Code Zero Consulting, a provider of consulting and implementation services for cloud-based Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) and billing solutions. The acquisition strengthens Cognizant’s cloud offerings and Salesforce CPQ and billing capabilities. Code Zero is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and works across industries, including healthcare.

Cognizant U.S. Foundation Awards $500,000 to Opportunity@Work to Launch New Initiative to Expand Career Access for Workers in the United States

The Cognizant U.S. Foundation awards a $500,000 grant to Opportunity@Work, a nonprofit organization to support research designed to map labor market supply and demand, skills, and career opportunities across the U.S.

HCL Technologies To Launch Global Delivery Center In Hartford, Connecticut With Anchor Client, Stanley Black & Decker

Accenture to acquire the Workday, Salesforce, and U.S. MuleSoft practices from Sierra-Cedar. The acquisition will expand Accenture’s Workday ecosystem and expand services to higher education and government organizations seeking to transform core operations.

Atos completes the sale of a 13.1% stake in Worldline

Atos completes the sale of Worldline shares for 1.5 billion euros representing 13.1% of the Worldline share capital through a private placement after the payments company agreed to buy Ingenico.

New Leadership Team in Atos

Atos appoints a new Group Management Committee replacing the former Group Executive Committee, as a part of their transformation initiative started in 2020. Among all other leadership changes, the Healthcare & Life Sciences vertical to be headed by Robert Vassoyan, the former global chief sales officer of Atos Group.

DXC Technology

DXC Technology Reports Third Quarter Fiscal 2020 Results

DXC Technology reports revenue of $5,021 million, a decline of 3.0% YoY, and growth of 3% QoQ for the quarter ended December 31, 2019. Global Business Services (GBS) accounted for $2,359 million, with a growth of 8.8% YoY.

DXC Technology Names Ian Read, Former Chairman and CEO of Pfizer, as Board Chairman

DXC Technology appoints Ian Read, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pfizer, as its new Chairman, effective March 16, 2020. Read succeeds current board Chairman David Herzog who will continue as a member of the board and as chair of the board’s audit committee. Ian Read retired as Pfizer’s Executive Chairman on December 31, 2019, after serving the company for 41 years.

IBM Study Advance Designed to Reduce the Time and Costs Associated with Clinical Trials

IBM Watson Health rolls out its newest cloud-based technology IBM Study Advance, a data-driven, study design tool, designed to optimize clinical trial protocol design by merging automated access to real-world patient population data, standardizing protocol template guidance and providing a collaborative workspace designed to facilitate efficiency. The tool is designed with an interface to provide access to commercial and claims data from de-identified patient profiles covering 89 million lives from multiple employer-sponsored U.S. healthcare beneficiaries, as well as tools to assess the impact of inclusion and exclusion criteria on the eligible patient population.
